COURSE 20 - MINISTRY GIFT OF EVANGELIST » Do the work of an evangelist

My perspective of this scripture would be the heart of God is always toward his souls; he has a high expectation for the body of Christ to assist by being his hands and feet in the earth. The father expressed in 2 Peter 3:9 he would that none would perish and because that's one of his greatest desire evangelisms is one of the primary tools needed. In order for man to be reconciled back to him the gospel has to be heard it has to be released into the hearts of man. Everybody wants to prophecy lay hands and raise the dead but who's going to raise those up who are spiritually dead because they don't know the father? Every person that's born again regardless of title or position once you have exited out of the kingdom of darkness it's your (our) due diligence to tell of his goodness and compel them to come. Isaiah 52:7 says how beautiful are the feet that preach the gospel it's a privilege to even be able to. The one thing that the rich man in Luke 16:27-31 desired was for lazarus to be able to leave paradise just to go and evangelize his family not prophecy or etc but to evangelize. That in itself is something to think about.

2 commentsYour perspective here is powerful and straight from the heart of Scripture God's deep longing for souls shines through every point you made. I love how you highlight that the Father's heart is always toward His creation, desiring reconciliation, and that He calls the body of Christ to be His hands and feet in this mission.

Jayla ParksYou making some points! I like that, the heart of God is always toward his souls. Heavy on the spiritually dead. We live in a world that encourages the spiritual, without God. Because the Word is so accessible and the gift of salvation is free, I believe that's why it's so easily overlooked. People don't realize the significance, the importance it holds. It's transformative power, me included.
