4-1 LIFE OF CHRIST » Importance of the Humanity of Christ

In watching the video An Introduction to Jesus we learned a number of key things about Jesus of his presence before being born to a virgin and his life afterwards. Jesus was born of an earthly mother and a Heavenly Father all orchestrated by God. In Luke 1:27 it says that to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name is Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. Jesus had to be born without man's seed so that He would not have an sin and could make an atonement for our sins. If Jesus had been born with the seed of man then he would be been born with sin and could not have saved us from our sins because he would have to make atonement for his own. Also from Dr. Riley's video she shared for man to be legal in the earth you must come thru a womb. Jesus models this. In Matthew 1:18 it tells us that before Mary and Joseph came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. An angel of the Lord spoke to Mary about what would happen and she yielded herself unto the the Lord to bring forth the King of Kings through her womb.

2 commentsVanessa, I loved this. In reading your response, it just made me appreciate the beauty of childbirth. God's humanity shows this because of His birth through the womb. What a pleasure Mary had to carry the Savior of the world, but always what a blessing it is for women to carry life that can be used for God's glory. This is a beautiful picture and thank you for showing this.

Kristy HammondI enjoyed the two videos; Dr. Stanley gave clear instructions on the birth of Christ the scripture in Luke 1:27 was a good example of Jesus's earthly parents and how he came to be. God needed an incorruptible seed to bring Jesus here to redeem man in the flesh because the devil had taken it and had the power over death. Dr. Riley's message was true that Jesus had to come through a virgin womb that was had no sin to legally destroy the devil and take back the power.
