What I believe is the difference between be talented and chosen people of God, when you are talented its what your human body can do. Its like when you practice something for along time you'll start to become better, and will become talented in what you've practice. If I'm going to build a talent for anything, I'm going to make sure its what God wants me to do. The Lord said in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your way submit to him, and he will make your path straight. So when I'm chosen I will no longer lean on what I was talented in, but I'll lean on Jesus. He has chosen me to do this I will no longer rely on my talents. God has chosen you to do something that means you already have it in you to do it. Now you have to walk with him and let him guide and teach you.
