1-2 FOUNDATIONS OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE » Implications of the True Ekklesia

What are some of the implications of the true Ekklesia operating in the world today? The Greek translation is Church meaning Called Out One. Ephesians 4:32 says: and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. I know that in order to do this we must operate in the fruits of the Spirit which is God's characteristics, and we are like him and in his image. Charity being the first one without it we can't operate in the other fruits at all it starts with love. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. In all of this love and obedience to God word as Jesus has commanded us.

2 commentsMs. Sandra, you are right that the true Ekklesia is called to reflect God’s character through love and the fruit of the Spirit. When we operate in love first, we fulfill the command of Jesus, for He said, By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). Walking in the Spirit allows us to bear fruit that glorifies God, just as Galatians 5:22â€23 reminds us, showing the world what it means to truly be the called-out ones.

Hope KhalilSandra, you're correct. One of the main characteristics of Christ is LOVE. There is a song that says You will know that they are Christians by their Love. God is Love, so when we Love, we look just like our Father. The rest of the fruit of the spirit follows Love. Colosians 3:14 says, And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. When our love walk is perfected, we can do the work of the Lord, like the true Ekklesia, with ease. Others that are not operating in love cannot have this peace, they will operate in flesh. Flesh operators will eventually be found out. They will not have the tools necessary to sustain and thrive.
