COURSE 1 - FOUNDATIONS OF BIBLICAL STUDIES » What is the biggest obstacle to the transformation process for believers

Dionne Lambert
The biggest obstacle is mindset. The conflict and obstacle is when believers won’t transform through the renewing of the mind. We must conform by changing our mindset. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but ye be transformed by the renewing may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Alicia Lewis
I believe this as well. The word of God says it's with the mind that we serve him. (Romans 7:25) So we have no ability to transform ourselves outside of Christ. We must partner with Holy Spirit to do the work. Majority of our behaviors and actions were first thoughts that entered the heart and then produced fruit. Whatever controls the mind controls the transformation. So yes, I agree the mindset is definitely one off the biggest obstacles to the transformation process.
