DISCUSSION FORUM » Talents Versus the Chiosen
Being chosen is an intentional act by God to set a person aside for a specific purpose. Being chosen is to accept the invitation and to do what is necessary to be a faithful disciple. People are called , but only those who accept God's invitation and follow Him faithfully are considered chosen. God's chosen people lives are set apart by a different lifestyle, considering their commitment to God.Talents are abilities or gifts, meanwhile being chosen is a spiritual calling.
I love your comparison about talents is considered money in the Bible. Talent can bring success, wealth and fame. I also think that some talents come easy to your human nature. Obeying the call is not easy, living for God requires faith and sacrifice. Even when times are dark and your spirit is weak. We must hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering. ( Hebrews 10:23). You are right, our commitment to God show why we are chosen.
