Developing the Vision of God » The Easiest and most challenging part of Building an Organization

In my opinion, the easiest part of building an organization is the Formation/ Creation or vision phase. This is the phase where you listen to the Lord, imagine and gather information. The bible says Proverbs 29: 18 where there is no vision, the people perish. In order to build anything, you must envision it, and in order for it to be successful, the vision must come from the Lord. Scripture says in James 1:17, that all good things come from God. We are made in his image and likeness; therefore, whatever we produce that is good and positive comes from Him. About ten years ago when I quit my job, God gave me a vision on making flower lapel pins. I went to Hobby Lobby, picked out the material and started crafting. I really enjoyed myself. I listened to the Lord's instructions step by step and made a beautiful product.
The most challenging part of building an organization is the discipline. Oftentimes when things don't work out, or its costing too much money, you will be tempted to quit. Many people start out in business, but without hard work and discipline it is east to abandon it. The bible says in Proverbs 10: 4, He becometh poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. The Lord will provide the vision, but you must have faith and work diligently to carry it out. Scripture says in James 2: 14, faith without works is dead.

2 commentsThe vision is God-given; you are so right this is the time where you have to listen to the Lord and do all that he has said the vision should be. I believe you have to discipline yourself and that is a challenge as well as working with others in the preparation process.

Sandra LatelyI absolutely agree that discipline will separate those bound for true entrepreneurship and those with just a great idea. Even when something seems to fail or not quite go your way it is important to remain faithful and diligent.
