The Impact of instruction on being a preacher of the Word vs being the hearer of the Word

There is no way a Man or Woman of God can hear a Word of instruction for the people and not do it. The bible says in 2 Timothy 2:6 that, The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. The Word of God is full of instruction, if we don't first do what it says as preachers of the Word, we are hypocrites. Jesus called out the Pharisees and the Sadducees for being this very thing. They would teach the law to the people, but oftentimes would not obey it themselves. Jesus said to the disciples in Matthew 23, The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!

We have to be careful as preachers of the gospel to not preach something we do not do ourselves. The bible instructs us to forgive! How can we walk someone through that process if we haven't forgiven folks ourselves. The bible also instructs us to give to others, love one another, have mercy on people, obey His Word, etc.... If we don't do what has been instructed of us, our works will be found out. Noone wants to be uncovered for not doing what they are supposed to be doing; however, if we don't it will be revealed. The bible says in Matthew 10: 26, for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. The best thing we can do to make sure this doesn't happen is to obey the Word of God and ask Holy Spirit to help us in areas that have not been submitted to Him.
