Preparation of the Minister » The Key Point of Preparation that enabled the Holy to use Peter

Peter's transformation boldness stemmed from his devotion to Jesus, his time spent with Jesus, and his subsequent experience of the Holy Spirit's power on the Day of Pentecost, which allowed him to preach with newfound authority and conviction, contrasting sharply with his previous denial of Jesus. He saw truly who his teacher was, and he was in repentance, so the Holy Spirit was able to use him.

2 commentsTawanna, I loved your perspective on the devotion Peter had for Jesus and that through his repentance, for denying Jesus, and spending more time with Him, the Holy Spirit was able to come upon Peter on the Day of Pentecost, Acts, Chapter 2. I agree with you that having the power of the Holy Spirit allowed him to preach with newfound authority and conviction! Jesus told His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, saying, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses (Acts 1:8) I believe we have all been right where Peter found himself and what we had to do to return to the Father. I am thankful for you and I pray God blesses you!
