Ministry of the Apostle » Apostleship I Align With Most

Vanessa Howell
My heart for the unsaved is aligned more with the Apostleship to the Gentiles. In Philippians 2:4 it says to let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. I just remember how I did not understand what being a Christian and giving my life to Jesus meant. When I think of the unsaved who do not know Christ, I want to help them understand that Jesus is the only way and share my testimony on how I was saved. Someone took the time to reach back to help me and I want to do the same because we know that heaven rejoices over one saved life. Luke 15:7 says that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. I also have a strong desire to teach the gospel just like Paul.

Having a firm foundation and relationship with Holy Spirit when studying the Word of God because that is one of the ways he speaks to us. Holy Spirit will give you revelation, further insight in to the scripture you are reading and a deeper understanding of how it applies to your life. In 2 Timothy 2:15 it says to be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We need Holy Spirit to lead and guide to all truth thru life, thru scripture and our growth with the Lord.

I share your thoughts Vanessa. I was once lost in sin as well; however, someone shared the good news of the gospel to me. The Lord specifically chose Paul to be the apostle to the Gentiles to show that salvation is offered to all people. Ephesians 3:6 speaks of how Christ brings together both Gentile and Jew: And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Everyone will hear of the Lord before he returns. Marks 13: 10 says, And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Vanessa. I think many of us have that testimony of how someone other than the Pastor took time to pour into us and help us find Jesus. It is such a sweet thought to think someone cared enough for us, for us to have an encounter with Jesus. How much sweeter is it in knowing that was God's plan all along? He desires no one be damned to hell. We indeed serve an awesome and gracious God. Thank you for reminding us all of this fact.
