COURSE 18 - MINISTRY GIFT OF PASTOR » What is most lacking in the Administration of the gift to the local Church

The observation I have seen, is that some Pastors have not been taught at a Bible College or Theology School, and some have not been to a seminary School to be taught the word of God and how to teach the people of God so without getting taught how to Pastor, the people of the church suffer. Ephesians 4:12 says, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. If the Pastor is not educated the Church suffer, Pastors need to have some kind of teaching. This will help with the calling that God called them to Pastor.

2 commentsThanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree that Pastors should have some knowledge and understanding of the word. While attending a Bible school may be ideal, I do believe the Lord can provide knowledge through studying of the word and mentors. God can operate and flow like only He can, I think it is more important to being open to the learning and training.

Kristy HammondMrs. Sandra, you make a great point that without the necessary education and training, pastors may not be fully prepared to lead their churches, potentially leading to a lack of growth or understanding in the congregation. Your message that some form of formal teaching or theological education, such as attending Bible college, theology school, or seminary, is essential for pastors to perform their roles effectively and help their congregations grow spiritually sums it up very well. God calls Pastor into that gift and once you are called the next steps is to be equipped for the calling. Ephesians 4:11 he gave some apostle and some prophets and some evangelist and some pastors this gift.
