COURSE 14 - SO YOU THINK YOU'RE CALLED » The real proof that someone is called by God

Paula Bingham
Real proof that someone is called by God is when they are operating in their God given purpose while carrying the attributes of Christ. Jeremiah 32: 19 says great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.

The Lord can reveal purpose in many ways. One way is by speaking audibly, receiving a prophetic word, or by visions. Often times these encounters bring about. A change in a person's walk, talk and lifestyle. An encounter with God can also develop faith and trust.

The Apostle Paul, once Saul, had an encounter with the Lord. His encounter happened on the Damascus Road. Paul operated much like Christ. He was devoted to the things of God and he served him relentlessly. Paul said in Philippians 3:8 says, I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. Paul forsook his will and desires for the desires of the Lord.

Paula thank you for sharing for I was really having a hard time understanding when being called. You have capture it and have explain it so plain and well thank you. Acts 2:39 says for the promise is to you and to and to your children and to all are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

Apostle Paul on the Damascus Road is really proof that God called him. His lifestyle reflected just that, he gave up his will, life, and desires and took on the desires of the Lord. This is another scripture I like when talking about being called by God. We all have different callings, and we have different experience. The scripture in Ephesians 4:11 says, And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. One thing I know we all are called by God to do many different things.
