COURSE 14 - SO YOU THINK YOU'RE CALLED » The Call of God

When I think about being called by God I first believe the Holy Spirit will show me but also it will come naturally what I am being called to do or how I serve, because being called is not for us but we are serving unto God. Ephesians 4:11-12 And he gave some, apostles and some prophets and some evanglist and some pastors and teacher fr the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of christ.

Tawanna, as I read your response, it reminded me of how the Holy Spirit tugged at my heart and as you said the Holy Spirit will show the person being called in other words, it will be revealed to us as individuals, and we will know we have been chosen! Knowing that Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, calls us is both a blessing and such a responsibility to serve God (as you reminded us! The call should be focused on serving God as He continues to shape and mold us, as we grow daily into our calling. You mentioned Ephesians 4:11-12 which reflects that no matter what ministry we have been called to is to edify the body of Christ! I love that your focus in your response was the call being God and serving Him at the center of it all! You emphasized that the calling is not just for personal benefit, but for the edification of the community. The calling of God is truly special and unique for each believer! I have watched you become more and more confident in each class! God has chosen you! You have such a sweet and steadfast spirit! God bless you as you continue your journey! Do not ever look back.....stay the course and keep your eyes on Jesus.
