COURSE 14 - SO YOU THINK YOU'RE CALLED » Real Proof Called by God

In my experience, it's a real encounter with Holy Spirit and the angelic realm. Jesus does the calling through the power of God. 2 Timothy 1:9-10 says who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10a.but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ. It went on to say 10b. who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 lets us know that he is faithful and trustworthy he who calls us to himself for our own salvation, he will fulfill, he calls by making us holy, he will guard us, watch over us and protect us as his very own. It's personal when God calls us, every call is different, in this semester we learned about the call of God along with Holy Spirit and how to really know how God calls us.

2 commentsSandra, thank you for your post. Yes, every calling is personal. This is so true. I agree we must depend on God at all times, but definitely during the season of a calling. We can't compare our experiences with others.

Kristy HammondAbsolutely Sandra! The calling of God is not according to our works. Many people in the bible were not deemed worthy of the calling of God, but they were indeed called. The bible says the Romans 11:29, the gifts and call are without repentance. God does not have to repent for who He called because He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. He knew that Jacob was a thief before He called Him, Moses was a murderer, Abraham lied. Peter was going to deny him and Paul was a persecutor of Christians. God knew all these things; however, He used all of it for His perfect purpose and plan. Our weaknesses is also a good reminder of our dependency on Him. In everything we do, we must depend on God. The bible says in John 15: 5, we can do nothing without God.
