COURSE 13 - FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT » Uncultivated Patient

Sandra Lately
There are two that I know of that are not cultivated as the other Fruits. Love and Patience, but Patient is something I believe believer has little of, they don't want to wait for anything but asking for everything. When the believers pray, they believe and receive but don't want to wait for it. The example I have; is sitting in traffic or driving behind a slow vehicle that is driving slower than the speed limit requires so impatiently we want to move or wish they would move. In Proverbs 19:11NIV says, A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offense, We have to have patience with others. I have learned that I can speak to matter, and it will move out my way by the authority and power and dominion given to me by Yahweh. In saying all this the scripture sums all this up for me in Romans 5:3-5 that says, And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Sandra. You knocked me off my deer with that believers have no patience...asking for everything but not wanting to wait on anything. That is so true and it's really should make us feel shamed. I've got to do better.

Sandra, I know this well too often asking God for things but don’t have the faith or patience to wait on him. However, I know that not what God ask of me he is watching while I am waiting. James 5:7-8 Therefore be patient, brethren until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmers waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
