COURSE 12 - INSPECTING YOUR SPIRITUAL ROOTS » Negatively affecting Spiritual Growth
Thank you for sharing with us a topic that is difficult for all of us, at times, to deal with in our walk. The root of unforgiveness can and will run deep, so deep because as you shared, the hurt is unbearable, so many layers to deal with when one tries to forgive. You did the right thing by seeking our guidance on where to start with the process of forgiveness. It is a process! The fact that you recognized the need to forgive and the effects it had or was having on you children and their children! WOW! You got to the root and now you have made more room in your heart for what God wants to place in it rather than what the enemy thought you would keep, to spoil the rest of the fruit that needed to be bore! YES! You said it, God is so patient and long-suffering. Thank you for the scripture you shared, Mark 11:25-26 And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Luke 6:31 tells us that we should treat others as we would like to be treated. If we think for one minute, we have not said something that might have offended someone, we need to think again, that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God! Maybe we did not mean to, but I am so glad the scripture you shared tells us out right, we need to be forgiven our trespasses, whatever it was, even if we are not aware of it, God will forgive us! My God, my God! Thank you, Lord, for your mercy and grace upon all of our lives. Ms. Sandra thank you again for your personal testimony! God has made more room in your heart to share your wisdom of what forgiveness will do for us as a believer!
