COURSE 11 - CHRISTIAN ROOT SYSTEM » The most important thing necessary to maintain and cause growth as a Christian?

One of the most important things necessary to maintain and cause growth as a Christian is reading God's word. Joshua 1:8 says, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. We cannot navigate through this life successfully without the Word of God. The Lord wants us to prosper on earth and carry out our God given purpose; however, we cannot know what to do without reading the Word of God. The bible says that there is a way that seems right unto man, but the end thereof leads to destruction. Many people have not only been self -destructive but have destroyed their generations because they did not know life's instruction, which is the Word of God. The reason why the Israelites in the Old Testament would have to be taught the Word of God every so often, especially after they sinned, was so they would not bring destruction on themselves or their families. Not knowing the Word of God can cause sin, and sin brings lots of unnecessary sickness, disease, pestilence, wars, famine and death. The Word of God keeps us safe and prosperous.

So, we know his word and applying it to our lives can help us maintain spiritual growth as Christian I love how Gods word shared Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
