COURSE 11 - CHRISTIAN ROOT SYSTEM » Maintaining Spiritual Growth!

Tawanna Taborn
When I think about my salvation journey, I can share what has helped me stay rooted and maintain spiritual growth as a Christian. I study my bible daily for instruction and understanding to apply it to my life as I walk it out. James 1:22-25 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. I would also share praying and connecting with my peers and life group whom we lift and encourage each other as well as holding each other accountable in our salvation walk. Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Tawanna thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, we must be accountable to God's word daily. I usually get in my in the morning before the chaos of life happens, but when I don't I can definitely see the difference. I think studying the word of God is just vital at all levels of our Christian walk. Also, I agree we must commune and fellowship with like minded individuals who can help to keep us grounded.
