Warfare - Synoptic Gospels » Prayer and Fasting is the Key!
However this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
The life of Jesus serves as a model for Christians and Christian counselors. Jesus was completely committed, obedient, and yielded to the Father (as you noted). He spent numerous hours in communion with the Father, and as a result, he was intimately attuned to the Father's voice. Jesus affirmed this, saying The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do (John 5:19 KJV). Similarly, Jesus taught that his sheep know his voice (John 10:27-28 KJV). By following Jesus' example and spending time with the Father, we too can learn to discern the Father's voice when instructed by the Holy Spirit.
In a world where mental health concerns are on the rise, with the World Health Organization reporting a 13% increase in the last decade, the need for compassionate, spirit-led counseling has never been greater. Yet, one wonders just how many of the 55.8 million U.S. adults seeking mental health treatment in 2022 were able to access Christian-based counseling to address their struggles. Clinical counseling is very helpful, but Jesus has given us the keys to the kingdom to help set the captives free, that whatever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever we shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19 (KJV).
