COURSE 8 - DEVELOPING A LIFE OF PRAYER & COMMUNION » RE: Prayer

Hope Khalil
Is the way one person prays more effective than the way another person prays? There are
several types of prayer, and they are ALL powerful and effective in communicating with our
Heavenly Father! Therefore, I cannot choose one prayer that is most effective from the
following types of prayer: agreement, supplication , intercession, petition ,consecration ,
binding and loosening ,decreeing and declaring. Effectiveness of each type of prayer,
becomes more effective as we spend more time praying and seeking God. Prayer is how we
sustain and maintain our relationship, forever building that effectiveness with the Father
(effort =effectiveness) 2 Chronicles 7:14 says If my people, which are called by my
name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. There
are other times, when one, boldly approaches the throne of God ,with the authority God
has given us in Jesusââ'¬â¢s name! For example, the moment we as believers begin praying to
reach the very realm of Heaven, the Devil is hard at work! The type of prayer that would be
most effective, would be the Binding and Loosening... of all things! To remind the enemy
that the Word of God in the book of Matthew 16:19 & 18:18 God has given us the authority
to bind the enemy and anything that is not of God and that Jesus has given us the Keys to
the Kingdom of God. We have authority in Jesusââ'¬â¢s Name to bind any hindrances that would
cause me to feel defeated and to think my prayers were not even reaching the ceiling.
That is why we must put on the full armor of God before prayer! I am so very thankful we as
believers have direct access to our heavenly father through prayer ! This is what separates
Christianity from all other religions. Direct access to our God the Father through prayer!
Being able to build a relationship and being able to hear our fatherââ'¬â¢s voice through the Holy
Spirit as we draw nearer to Him each day! All prayer is effective because prayer , no matter
which type of prayer one uses , it changes things!

Hope, this is so true there are so many types of prayer, and they are all so powerful and effective when communicating with our Heavenly Father! When you list them out it is like a candy dish full of promise, and I can’t choose either. However, you said it best when going before the Lord the enemy is working hard to get us off track Ephesians 6:10-11 says Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The types of prayers are all effective in the thing it is for. Agreement, supplication, intercession, petition, consecration, binding and loosening, and decreeing and declaring are all different prayers but the one thing they all have in common is they all are a way to communicate with God almighty in different ways and all are effectively working in the thing that we need to pray for. Because of Jesus Christ our elder brother we do have direct access to God, and we don't need a priest once a year to pray for our sins. We humbly go to God for ourselves with the Holy Spirit.
