COURSE 5 - NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY » He come to Fulfill the Law?

Sandra Lately
It was written in Isaiah the coming of Jesus to fulfill the law of Moses. The Pharisees had changed the law so much until it was more like legalism.
Paula Bingham
Sandra, it is true that the Pharisees had manipulated the law so much until it was more legalism than anything. The bible says in Matthew 5: 20 that except our righteousness exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, we shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus was the Word made flesh, and the Pharisees could not see it because they were blind. Thank God for Jesus who came to earth to show us how to live. Christ also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
