2-1 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING » Dimensions of the Anointing

Marilyn Keys
The Anointed One. The Messiah. Savior of the World. King of Kings. Lord of Lords. The One who would redeem man back to God. The One who makes it possible for us to become Sons of the living God has great significance as the Christ or anointed one in the Old Testament as the one who would come and save a nation. Because of what Adam did there would be a need for a savior to redeem man's soul. One sent by God to free his people from the effects of sin and bring them back in alignment with Him. The People of God awaited the promise, a kinsmen redeemer to buy back their rights and bring them back into right standing with God. A deliverer. The Israelites waited for centuries for him to come. The prophet Isaiah spoke of him 52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.]
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
His blood would save a nation. In the Old Testament it is the Jews who received the promise. However, in the New Testament the anointed one would not only bring salvation to the Jews but also to the gentiles because of the rejection of the Jews. Jesus the promise fulfilled would give all who believed in him salvation. He is King, Priest, and Prophet to us. Savior of the world not just promise to a certain group of people. The oil of old was poured by God's Prophet. The oil of now is the Holy Ghost. Imparted to us through Christ Jesus. The anointed one sent an anointing to sit on each believer that once received he would give us power. Power to be witnesses. He would dwell within us. He would council us, teach us, enable us to do the work of the Kingdom of God bringing heaven to earth.

Christ our savior is who we needed then and now. We can only enter into the kingdom by first believing that Christ laid down his life for us all.

After the fall of Adam, John 3:16 tells us 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God wants a family and the bigger the better. It did not catch God by surprise when Adam fail, He already had Jesus in the plan. It tells us in Isaiah 46:9-10 states, Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. With Jesus sitting at the right hand of the father, now it is up to the believers to go out and witness about the goodness of our Father. John 14:12, states Truly, Truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. With this mandate, we have to act like our Father. In Philippians 2:5, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. This is how we bring Heaven to Earth.
