2-1 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING » Dimensions of the Anointing

The relevance of Jesus as the Christ in the Greek let us know the importance of Jesus. According to the Greek meaning, He was anointed, He was known chiefly in the gospel, the King of Israel, and chiefly in the epistles. Jesus was and is still relevant to this day. Now, we all know Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrew 13:8). The significance of Jesus being known or called Christ then was a mystery to all, They heard of his coming because it was prophesied in Isaiah 7:14, Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign, Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 9:6-7, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulder. And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Even when he walked on the face of the earth they still questioned who he was Matthew 16:13-17. Even the disciples did not fully realized who Jesus was and they had walked with him. However, on the other hand, the spiritual significance to Jesus being known or called Christ now is linked to salvation (Romans 10:9-10), we can not get to the Father accept we go through the son (John 15:6), also whatever we ask in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-17). The difference between then and now is that he was coming then and now He is seated at the right hand of the father because he has sat the stage for us to go out and do what he did in the name of Jesus.

2 commentsJesus is the same, yesterday, and forevermore. I love that scripture. Furthermore, I agree many people questioned Jesus back then and some still do today. In the midst of that, Jesus still died for everyone for our soul salvation, and we still can receive the benefits of that ultimate sacrifice till this day.

Temarian WarrenI agree Jesus being the Christ is linked to salvation today. We cannot get to the father except through him. This is heavenly order. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus said greater works would we do. The anointing on the Christ has to be on us as well to witness. We confess Jesus as Lord and Savior and then receive the Holy Ghost. There has to be reception of the Holy Ghost. The anointing from the anointed one. Now he is seated in heavenly places and like the fact that we as believers are seated in him because his throne is in the Father and ours is in him.
