COURSE 3 - SPIRITUAL GROWTH II » Ways to Hear and Communicate with God

One of many ways to Strengthen our ability to hear God and to communicate with God is through his Holy Spirit. Another way is to seek him with our whole heart. Seeking God with our whole is to make him first in our relationships, decisions, and everything that is going on in our lives. Jeremiah 29:13 says, you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart and after doing so, Psalm 46:10-part A. tells us to Be Still and know that I am God. Prayer is another way, praying in our Heavenly language allows Holy Spirit to pray through us and for us.

2 commentsSandra you are on point about seeking God with your whole heart because that is where our spirit resides. In Psalm 70:32 it talks about the humble and you who seek God, in your hearts shall live. The heart is the vital not just to our physical body but also our spiritual body. We must study the Word fervently so it is written on the tablets of our hearts. Jeremiah 17:1 When we first open our eyes in the morning we should be giving thanks to God for waking us up and spending time in his presence. We can share what is on our hearts and ask him for direction and what He would like to accomplish through us because every day belongs to him. He calls us to be willing vessels and my answer is yes Lord. His spirit talks to our spirts as children of God.

Vanessa HowellSandra, I agree that one of the ways to communicate with God is through our heavenly language. I believe that our heavenly language is the BEST way to communicate. When we pray in the flesh, oftentimes it may not express precisely what the Spirit wants to convey. Sometimes prayer in the flesh can be selfish. Many times, I have prayed fleshly prayers concerning me, my family, a specific trial or about my job and that was not what Holy Spirit wanted to communicate. I know this because the Holy Spirit convicted me about it. We may not know what we're saying when we speak in our prayer language, but God knows, and it is exactly what is needed!
