The True Church

The Ecclesia is the church, the called-out ones, a body of believers. Believers in who? Who are they really? What do they look like? How do they act? How do they think? How do they treat one another and others? Matthew 16:18 says, And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Jesus builds his church on a rock. What rock? Is it Peter whose name literally means rock or is it the fact that this unlearned man has received a download from heaven. A Revelation, A great reveal that Jesus is the Son of the Living God. A word from Father God, who the Son says when you have seen him you have seen the Father. Therefore, true Ecclesia depends on every word from Father God and hinges or stands on the word of God(Jesus). You cannot separate God from His word. Jesus said no man can come to the Father but by Him. God's word will not return to Him void. Therefore, if the ones calling themselves the church preaches any way other than Jesus they are not the true Ecclesia. True Ecclesia may be in the world but not of the world. The relationship that true Ecclesia has is with the Father. We believe in Jesus, exhibit the character of the Father, and are led by the Spirit of God. Getting back to the part of Matthew 16:18 that says the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. True Ecclesia is not defeated by the gates of hell. We a people serving a risen savior who has the keys to death hell and the grave. We follow and believe and are disciples and are the church of the one who everything has been given into his hands. We even look different. Peter denied Jesus three times and kept on being recognized as a disciple of Christ a called out one. When Jesus was raised from the dead and had to take Peter on a walk of remembrance of his calling. He asked Peter the same question 3 times. Do you love me? Feed my sheep, my lamb, my sheep. He was given instructions. Now that the Holy Spirit has come upon us we should have power and operate with authority. True Ecclesia operates with power and authority. We are led by the Spirit of God, Operating in love and not in fear. We seek to please God and not man. Our trust is in the Father. According to Matthew 16:19 Jesus gives his church keys of the kingdom of heaven that whatsoever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever we lose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. He grants us access that heaven may be brought to earth. True Ecclesia is supposed to turn the world upside down overcoming evil (the devil, demonic forces) with good (the Gospel of Jesus the Christ). Not the world changing the church to look like the world. Romans 8:14-17 lets us know that if we are led by the Spirit of God then we are sons of God. We have not received the spirit of bondage we received the Spirit of adoption. We can cry to our Father in heaven. His Spirit bears witness with our spirit not our flesh that we are the children of God not satan. We are heirs with Christ. The true Ecclesia.

Amen, the true Ecclesia will be known by their fruit. In John 21:15-17 states, So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, so of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou know-est that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He said unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee.Jesus said unto him, Feed my sheep. We are suppose to be God's eyes, ears, hands, feet, mouth, and body on earth. The true Ecclesia is just like when Jesus said He was about His Father's business (Luke 2:49). We have to be sold out for the will of God . Peter and the others were sold out for the will of God, that is why they were so powerful. Help us all Holy Ghost!!

So true, as the Ekklesia, we are to do as our Saviour Jesus exemplified here on earth. Jesus said in John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on, me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. We are to continue the work Jesus started, as He sent the disciples out, when we received Jesus, we too are to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Help us Holy Spirit indeed, that we may do the will of the Father.
