Writing Basics » The Importance of Being Able to Communicate in Writing as a Minister of the Gospel

Marilyn Betts Robinson
It is very important to learn how to communicate verbally and in writing as a Minister of Christ. As a minister you will not only have to verbally communicate but in writing. Sharing the gospel of Jesus in print is important because verbally people don't always remember was spoken therefore to share in writing is substantial. A presentation in writing gives a person the opportunity to take your message and read it and even do some research of their own that proves what you are saying is true that the content of your writing cannot be disputed. In communicating in writing, you can share the gospel in books, pamphlets and booklets because some people may not ever come to church. Being able to use proper grammar is important because we do not want to bring the Word to a shame. We do not want God's Word to be communicated with errors and be thought of as uneducated and lacking intelligence regarding the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are ambassadors for Christ.
Jesus is the Word - the Logos and his inspired written word was left for us to share with lost souls. We want to be the best representatives of Jesus Christ.
