During an excavation dig in Natal Hever, scrolls were found on the cliffs in the Judean desert, outside of the Cave of Horrors. These were the first discovery of biblical scrolls found in sixty years. Although Jewish refugees hid the parchment fragments in this cave almost nineteen hundred years ago, the text was written in Septuagent Greek. The scroll revealed portions of the Books of the Twelve Minor Prophets, including the books of Zechariah and Nahum. These verses from Zechariah 8:16-17 were discovered on the scroll. These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord. Also identified, on another fragment, are verses from Nahum 1:5â€6, The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? Who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. It is important to note that the text is Greek due to the fact that it was an Old Testament find. The language spoken in the Old Testament was Hebrew and Aramaic. This shows the transitioning of language. The changing or evolving of understanding both Septuagint Greek and Hebrew languages. The documenting of the current events on parchments in Septuagint Greek in a Hebrew speaking reigion validates that the Septuagint is acurate.Despite most of the text being in Greek, the name of God appears in ancient Hebrew script, Paleo-Hebrew, known from the times of the First Temple in Jerusalem. The host mentioned that Jesus would quote scripture from the Old Testament. Such scriptures include John 15:25, But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: They hated me without a cause. This phrase comes from Psalms 35:19 and 69:4. Jesus quoted Psalms frequently to show how He is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and promises. He wanted His listener to know that He was the One that the Psalms promised, the coming Messiah, the Lamb who would take away the sin of the world, had arrived. These are the Messianic Psalms we learned about in class. This and other archeology finds are proof to a dying world that the Word of God is Truth, Life, and Accurate. Hello everyone!!!! Miss you guys

Your message was very informative. l thought the information was interesting, to think for as long as it had been, that someone found something from the Dead Sea. The item that was found was still able to be identified.
