One of the most things needed to maintain and grow as a new Christian is to begin reading and studying the Word of God. In Romans 15:4 it says for whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. This is true for mature Christians as well. Studying the Word of we learn the heart of God which is key to a newly translated Christian. We know that the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the ...

4 commentsTo maintain and cause growth as a Christian I believe one thing would be obedience. The scripture in 1 Samuel 15:22 says, And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. This means that it's better to obey and be submissive to God than offering the fat of rams. I know prayer and obedient are important roots in the Christian foundation. 1 John 2:5 ...

1 commentsAccepting Jesus as Lord is a big step. One of the important things to maintain and cause growth as a Christian is developing time reading and studying God’s word. As a new believer all things may be new such as memorizing scripture, understanding God’s character, God’s commands, and an overview of the Bible. You must learn through spending time in God’s word. 2 Timothy 2:15 says Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handl...

1 commentsOne of the most important things necessary to maintain and cause growth as a Christian is reading God's word. Joshua 1:8 says, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. We cannot navigate through this life successfully without the Word of God. The Lord wants us to prosper on earth and car...

1 commentsWhen I think about my salvation journey, I can share what has helped me stay rooted and maintain spiritual growth as a Christian. I study my bible daily for instruction and understanding to apply it to my life as I walk it out. James 1:22-25 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man ...

1 commentsOnce a person accepts Jesus as Lord, one of the most important things necessary to maintain and cause growth as a Christian is a Christian’s spiritual root system. What do I mean by root system, when speaking of the spiritual aspect of Christianity? Just like a tree, that must absorb nutrients and water to keep the tree thriving and growing, we as Christians, in the spirit, must bear good fruit as well as have strong roots. We must spend time in the Word of God, witnessing and praying. Psalm 1...
