Trust in Jesus - The Pathway through which the Supernatural is Understood
DISCUSSION QUESTION
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

5-1 DEMONOLOGY » Trust in Jesus - The Pathway through which the Supernatural is Understood
A person can trust Jesus even when they are unsure whether the supernatural realm exists because Jesus first presents Himself through His life, character, and teachings, not just through supernatural claims. We see that in the life of Christ, He met people where they were in life. He addressed fear, injustice, suffering, and moral failure. We can ask the question, why did people follow Him before they fully understood His divine nature? Because His words brought hope, truth, and clarity to real-life problems. The faith and trust in Jesus began relationally and ethically, not just supernaturally. From what we have studied in Demonology & Deliverance, the Bible teaches that the unseen spiritual realm affects humanity whether one acknowledges it or not. However, Jesus never forced belief in the supernatural; instead, He demonstrated authority through compassion, wisdom, and transformation. People trusted Him because He made them whole. Whether He made them whole mentally, emotionally, or socially. That was even before they fully understood who He was spiritually. This shows that trust in Jesus can be based on observable outcomes in a person’s life. Scripture also affirms that faith often begins with uncertainty. A person does not need to fully grasp the supernatural realm to place trust in Jesus; rather, faith can grow through experience, reflection, and evidence of changed lives. In John 7:17 †If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. This scripture tells us that understanding comes after obedience and experience, not before. Trusting Jesus can begin by living out His teachings. In the Faith Chapter, as I like to refer to it, Hebrews 11:6 reads But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. This scripture acknowledges that faith involves seeking, not certainty. Trust grows as one pursues truth. Romans 1:20 †For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. This verse explains that the unseen is understood through what is visible. In the same way, Jesus’ visible life points to unseen spiritual realities. A person should trust Jesus because His life, teachings, and impact stand on their own. One does not have to fully accept the supernatural realm to begin trusting Him. Often, trust in Jesus becomes the pathway through which the supernatural is eventually understood, not the prerequisite for belief.
