DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

2-2 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING » Importance of First and Second Dimensions

Kristy Hammond
The first dimension sets the tone and provides the relationship with God, understanding His ways, building a foundation and fellowshipping with Him. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 provides context to this thought, 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. The first dimension is very important because it is the foundation.
When a believer operates in the second dimension, but lacks the foundation of the first dimension they may experience burnout and lose focus of their why. John 15:5 says, I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing. The believer could also experience pride and being vulnerable to sin and deception. One may have the gift, but they also must have intimacy and fellowship with God. Judges 16:20, talks about Samson by saying but he did not know that the Lord had left him. A believer can also lack understanding and mislead others. Gifts without the fellowship of God can cause harm.
