DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

2-2 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING » 2 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING

Kierra Burnett
To lack strength in the first dimension causes problems later on in the future. The first dimension is our stability and foundation. This dimension requires time, building a relationship, building up love and faith with our father. Lacking this and moving forward into the second dimension will cause ones mindset to feel emptiness. We tend to go after things that mean us no good. In this emptiness the believer began to pour out everything rather than spending time with our Father. Jesus stated in John 15: 5 I am the vine you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruits; apart from me you can do nothing. King Saul in 1 Samuel 13:13,14 You have done a foolish thing, Samuel said. You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord ’s command. Saul disobedience and insecurity caused him to lose the kingdom. If the the heart is not in order then the outer leadership will fall apart.

Kierra I like how you pointed out the huge consequence of Saul's disobedience cost him the kingdom. Although the Lord gives grace we still have a responsibility to seek the face of God in how to and when to utilize the gifts we have been given. Skipping this step holds many grave consequences such as the spirit of the Lord leaving you and then you would be operating out of your own flesh. This is contrary to the Word of God.

Kierra, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your post is reflective and thought provoking. I like how you shared your own experience with burnout and feeling as if the Lord had forgotten about you within class. Just like this post is powerful, so is that testimony. Feeling empty is a real thing and as a counselor I see the effects of feeling empty and like you have no one. As believers we must build our relationship with God and have a strong foundation.
