"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

One main consequence of a believer who operates heavily in the second dimension and not the first is the inability to hear in the spirit. God is a spirit, so therefore we commune with Him in spirit. When a person spends time in the presence of the Lord, they learn to hear His voice. The bible says in John 10: 4-5, it states: And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. Spending time in the presence of God is crucial for hearing. Most of the people in the Old and New Testament who were used mightily, spent quality time in the presence of the Lord. Even Jesus spent intimate time with the Father. The bible says in Luke 5:16, that he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.
An example of someone who lost His ability to hear the voice of God was Saul. Saul was anointed King before David, but due to His disobedience and trying to please people, he was rejected by God. Rejection from God is highly likely to happen when you don’t spend time with Him; it is even a sin! The bible says in James 4:8, for us to draw nigh to him. In John 15:4, it tells us to abide in Him and He in us. Without it, we will be prey for the enemy and can therefore operate in the flesh. Saul was a King, but after being rejected for disobedience, he could no longer hear from God and his inability to hear, led him to sin even more. Saul eventually sought advisement from a witch, which is forbidden by God.
The bible says in Mathew 7:23, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? Yes, our gifts are without repentance and can still be used; never-the-less, they are in no way to be carried out without the backing and approval of the gift giver.
Losing your ability to hear God is like a deer in headlights. You wouldn't know where to go or what to do. God's voice is a weapon against the enemy, our GPS, our help, and everything else. I can't imagine living without hearing God's voice. This is what happens when you skip the first dimension anointing.
Losing the ability the hear God would be a devastating consequence as you have outlined Paula. And no just losing it in the second dimension of anointing but in the third as well. This could lead to be led by the wrong spirit thinking it was God. This would be detrimental to the Kingdom and the believer's life. This is very dangerous because we want to be used for God's Kingdom only. It is best to be patient and submit to get the proper training move only move forward when God opens that door.
Paula, I like how you explain things so clearly and give us so much. Reading how we must abide in him (the Father) and he in us, the scripture comes to mind in psalm 84:11b. The LORD will give Grace and Glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. But we can't be puffed up like Saul, he disobeyed God and after God rejected him and put David as King Saul was killed in the battle with the Philistines.
Paula, I really agree with your points because without that first dimension of spending time with God, even our gifts can become empty. Jesus said in John 15:5, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. That shows we can't truly produce anything lasting unless we stay connected to Him. Also, James 4:8 reminds us, Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. This means that closeness with God helps us hear clearly and live rightly. Like Saul's story shows, when we drift away, we risk losing that connection, but when we seek Him daily, He promises to guide us and keep us from falling.
