DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

Nefertiti Jones
In my opinion of the difference between
Being chosen and Talent is the level of fruit, Direction in glory and service in purpose. John 15:16 it states You didn't choose me but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit. In 1 Peter 2:9 it says but you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his OWN POSSESSION that you may PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM who CALLED you out of darkness into his marvelous light. So with these scriptures being chosen is one who bears fruit, one who points everything back to God, not taking the glory, and knows he's a possession of christ. Serving him fully for a specific things and all things Whereas talents focus on skill, multiplying, and serving others in a broader way. Ref:Rom12:6-8, eph 2:10 and 1peter4:10

I agree, I am very impressed with how you stated being chosen and talent is the level of fruit. We are provided with capabilities to be of service and we see many talented people in the world. God entrust people with various resources, opportunities, spiritual gifts and abilities. I believe that being chosen by God is for a special purpose such as salvation, being a faithful and prepared for their divine mission.
