DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

Ministry and the IRS » Administrative Side of Ministry

Tawanna Taborn
Ministry leaders are stewards of both spiritual and material resources. Scripture consistently emphasizes the importance of faithfulness in stewardship (Luke 16:10-12). Proper accounting, transparent record keeping, and legal tax compliance are not just bureaucratic necessities; they are expressions of integrity and accountability. Mismanagement of funds, even if unintentional, can damage the reputation of a ministry and hinder its witness. Effective administration supports the ministry's mission. Accurate budgeting, donor tracking, and strategic financial planning allow a church to expand outreach, support missionaries, run programs, and respond to community needs. Without sound financial planning and record keeping, even the most spiritually inspired vision can fall short due to lack of resources or direction.

Tawanna, I like reading your thoughts about stewartship. The bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:2, that now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. We must be faith to see the administration of what God has given us from start to finish. We cannot be lazy or slack towards the things of God,but be ready and alert toward things of this world. God is holding us accountable for the things He has given us to do in the earth.
