Dr. Riley shared in the video how although the church is a building, there is also a business side too, a structure. In 1Corinthians 14:40 it tells that all things are to be done decently and in order. To operate under the current governmental structure there must be order and checks and balances. This is where the administrative piece comes into place. If everyone could do whatever they wanted to do or not do in the church it would create chaos. In same chapter of 1 Corinthians 14:33 it reminds us that God is not the author of any confusion but of peace. There is also a gifting of administration and God mentions this in 1Corinthians 12:28 where He is mentioning the five fold gifts. If it is important enough for God to specifically address it then we should take heed as well. I believe it is important to allow people to walk in their gifted areas including administration in the ministry because it is part of the body of Christ. I believe that administration in ministry should be nurtured and cultivated, in Jesus name.
