DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

COURSE 27 - MINISTRY ETHICS & ETIQUETTE » Ethical Hinderance

Kristy Hammond
Romans 12:2 says Don’t copy the ways of the world. Let God change the way you think. Many leaders have strayed away from this and have a desire to fit in and be relevant. There has been a compromise to integrity with leadership. 1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) says For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Leaders must remember this calling is not about them, their popularity, or financial gain. Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) says. Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Leaders should have a desire and willingness to serve. This is not an opportunity for them to promote self. Leaders must preach the true word of God. Leaders must remove self and promote Jesus.
Tawanna Taborn
Kristy well said they want to fit and be relevant so true why compromise your integrity in leadership when it won’t last and sooner or later it will catch up with them. I like that scripture goes well Proverbs 16:18 pride goeth before the fall. You cant be puffed up and think you will go far, because God will not let people in leadership lead his people astray.

Kristy I agree that there is no place for pride in ministry yet it still exists. One can allow the enemy to use them thinking there won't be consequences for leading God's people astray or living an example that doesn't line up with the word of God. There is an opportunity to repent and turn from their wicked ways. In Ezekiel 4:6a it says 'Thus says the Lord God: Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.'
