The Pandemic Affect Teenagers
DISCUSSION QUESTION
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

Counseling 5-1 » The Pandemic Affect Teenagers
During the adolescence years where social relationships are important, many were unable to interact in person with certain family members and friends. While social media provided a digital connection, it is no substitute for direct, personal interactions. I watched a video filmed in Berlin, which featured teenagers describing their pandemic experiences. Most reported feeling stressed, anxious, lonely, and depressed. Of these, depression was the most commonly expressed, because of the drastic lifestyle changes we had never faced before in the U.S. or in Europe. These feelings expressed can and will cause mental illness, but thanks be to God that give us the victory I Corinthians 15:57 (KJV). The pandemic forced teenagers into unfamiliar isolation, depriving them of their usual daily activities like attending school, playing sports, and socializing with friends. They also had to contend with the discomfort of wearing masks and, in some cases, the distressing experience of losing family members or friends at an increased frequency.
Although the pandemic occurred approximately two years ago, its effects continue to linger. We must support our young people by sharing the Word of God and directing them to Christ. Let them know that Jesus loves them (John 3:16), gave his life for them, and will never abandon them.
