DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

COURSE 10 - PRINCIPLES OF FAITH » Lack in Faith

Kristy Hammond
I believe the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking is in the idea that God is able to do (provide) what His word actually says. Matthew 6:33-34 says, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things (food, drink, clothing) shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. This is the word of God, yet we do not trust God for our basic needs and we still worry even though the word says not to. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says we walk by faith and not by sight. As believers we may say we have faith, but there are times when the situation looks slim and we cannot imagine how and that God is able to perform. In these moments we have little faith and we are looking at what we can see.

In this season of my life, I have faith that we will sell our home and move into a home that meets all the needs on my list. As my family and I are looking for homes, we are finding homes that are it, but they are not the one. My faith is activated that God will provide all that we need and have asked for. Our timeline is winding down, but I trust God

Kristy, we have to exercise in all areas. You're right, many people don't believe that God can do anything. Oftentimes when we have seen no manifestation in the area that we are believing for, we may excuse and say things like, it's not in God's will. When actually, God can and will do whatever we ask him to do if its according to His word. His word lets us know that He is a healer, provider, deliverer, our guide, sustainer, helper, mind regulator, battle fighter. He is all that we need for every situation that comes along in our lives. The answer is reading the Word of God and exercising our faith in that particular area.

Kristy I can relate to the fact of having weak faith at times when it comes to my everyday living things. Feeling like God needs my help, so reading post Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. I find comfort in those words of knowing that Gods is with me. 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 For we walk by faith not by sight. We are confident, yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body to be present with the Lord. Great post Kristy thanks, I love your strong faith believing God to provide
