Open Doors to Demonic Spirits
DISCUSSION QUESTION
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

Old Testament Warfare » Open Doors to Demonic Spirits
Even the small things we don't realize is a crack to let the enemy in. For instance, who knew that marijuana was crack door that would soon let the enemy in? Most people think that it is an herb because it is grown from the ground, however anything that causes you to be elevated and hallucinate is a drug. The Greek term for drug is Pharmakeia which means the use of medicines, drugs, or spells. https://www.bing.com/search?q=greek+word+for+drugs&form=ANNTH1&refig=1502B5A507E94FC5BA3CD4AA36A49301&pc=HCTS
In other terms marijuana is a door open to witchcraft. We have to know that the enemy is slick his main objective is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10).
Drug addiction often cause damage after elongated use because you become addicted. The Serotonin in the brain now unbalanced Now you have a door open to idolatry, rebellion, and witchcraft. The God we serve is a jealous God he wishes that nothing comes before him (Exodus 34:14). We must not be drunkards or addicts, but instead be filled with his spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Once we are made aware of these things then we must go in and close all demonic doors.
Good point about the term Pharmakeia which means the use of medicines, drugs, or spell. Many medications prescribed to treat mental illness can lead to addiction and even hallucinations. While marijuana is a prescribed substance used to manage pain, it too can be addictive. However, many people use marijuana as a means of relaxation. Some individuals turn to alcohol in the same manner as an attempt to unwind and escape their troubles, but this can ultimately lead them to develop alcoholism. Choosing this lifestyle in an attempt to escape their inner feelings open up the door to demonic influences. Alcoholics will use the scripture in 1 Timothy 5:23 - (No longer drink only water but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.) How can we help people that are mentally ill but yet need their medication to function in today's society? I believe sharing the Word of God with them praying and informing them that Christ is the answer and God so loved them that He gave his life for them John 3:16 (KJV) then deliverance will come.
