DISCUSSION QUESTION

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

2-1 DIMENSIONS OF THE ANOINTING » The Anointed One

Temarian Warren
Jesus held a great position of spiritual significance in the world before his resurrection. In fact, he currently holds a great position of spiritual significance after his resurrection in the world today. Many of us know him as Jesus Christ. The word Christ in Greek means Christos which means the Anointed One. Because he was the Anointed One, his spirit threatens the enemy even when he was born. In Matthew 2:13, it stated …. for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. Why did King Herod want to destroy him? Because the child was God himself in human form and enemy knew that. In Colossians 2:9 it states, For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, In John 10:30, I and the Father are one.
When Jesus told the Jews the father and him were one, they wanted to stone him. Jesus faced great tribulations then because some believed he was the Anointed One. Furthermore, Jesus The Anointed One still reigns now because when he died and rose his task was complete. Now anyone around the world can accept Jesus and be cleanse of their sins. Now, they can receive the anointing of the Holy Ghost and teach the gospel to other souls. In conclusion because of history and our present, Jesus begin knowing as Christ has great spiritual significance to the body of Christ. Because of his early attacks and great persecution, everyone should know and believe that. Lastly, in his name we will always live and be connected to God. John 3:16, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is truly The Anointed One.

Jesus is the anointed one. Matthew 3:16-17 states, And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lightening upon him; And lo a voice from Heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Jesus was sent with an agenda and he was well aware of that. In Luke 2:49, And He said to them, Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business? Also, John 9:4 states, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. The way Jesus walked the earth proved his anointing. Every thing he did was perfect. This is why a hit was put out on his life before he was born because Satan knew He was the anointed one.

I agree with the fact that Jesus and the Father are one. The anointed one was baptized by John the Baptist that all of what God had promised would be fulfilled. Jesus was anointed by the Father Himself. The Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove and the voice of the Father spoke and said this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17). To be anointed by the hand of God himself is very significant to the church because each gift issued is given by the Holy Ghost. He the Holy Ghost anoints and gives gifts severally as He wills. (1corinthians 12:11). Each gift operating in the church was given by the Holy Ghost and through Christ. The very operation of the church depends upon Jesus the Christ. The Anointed One.
