"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". Hebrews 11:6 reveals how faith is so important that it is impossible to please God without it. What would you say is the greatest area, among believers, where faith is lacking?

Talent usually refers to a natural aptitude or skill in a particular area. God has given us all gifts and talents. The Word declares it in James 1:7, that every good and perfect gift comes from above. However, not all gifts equate to being chosen for a specific task. There is a process that one must go through and a series of tests that one must pass before being chosen for a particular work.
The bible mentions Aaron's ability to speak well; however, speaking well did not mean that he was to be the leader of the Israelites. God knew all about Moses' weaknesses, yet God still chose him to be the leader. Moses was predestined, called and justified to be the leader of the Israelites. Aaron had the talent to speak well but his heart was not like Moses. Aaron proved that he was not the leader of the Israelites by succumbing to the pressure of the people to participate in idolatry while Moses was away in the presence of God. He also murmured and complained, just like the Israelite people. When Moses chose a Ku!@#!e wife, Aaron spoke against him and was chastened by God for it. The Lord had to let Aaron know who was the true chosen leader.
As an effort to follow the instructions , I have read many responses, this one has caused me to want to search out the scripture to learn more in reference to talent versus being chosen by God. This is a awesome statement and it speaks directly to the things that we all go through in life. Through it all we must believe the word Eph. 4:11-16 so Christ himself gave the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people or the works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up. This is our rightful place of being talented and chosen.
Talent Versus-Natural aptitude or skills (Talan ton Greek word…It’s a natural skill people are born with..Matt 25: 25,29 He gave some one, some ten,…. Chosen of God- Eph.4:1 divine favor and grace. Many are called few are chosen
Thank you so much Paula for your insights on talent vs being chosen by God. It is so true that Moses was called by God from birth and Aaron was used to help and support Moses through speaking to help him accomplish what God had chosen Moses to do. Moses was chosen as he had gone through the process to help lead the Israelites out of Egypt.
