5-2 DEMONOLOGY » Modern Day Church

The Modern day church has gotten to back to the basic. The church does not walk in the authority that Jesus has given. They tiptoe around certain topics trying not to offend anyone. They try to appeal or appease to the world to build membership. The things they have allowed into the church like homosexuality, Yoga, Sororities, Fraternities, Freemason, Eastern Star and other things that are not like the Father is scary. Its okay for them to come into the house of the Lord, but that's when you address the things and offer help. When Jesus encountered demons in individuals he would not leave them the same, they would get delivered. For example, Mark 5, speaks of the possessed man at the tomb cutting himself just rebuked the spirit and they wanted to be sent in the pigs and the man went home healed (paraphrasing). Everything we need there is a scripture to guide us through. This is why it is so important for the church to uphold the word of God. Hebrew 1:3 states, Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:.

1 commentsI agree many churches tiptoe around topic to please everyone. However, you cannot please everyone and please God at the same time. The body of Christ needs to stand on the word at all times. In John 15:18 it states, If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. The truth will offend the world, but we must walk in truth and authority by any means necessary.
