COURSE 6 - INTRODUCTION TO HERMENEUTICS » The Importance of accurate biblical interpretation

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scripture, which are able to make wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:14-15 We must be stewards over Gods word when we are sharing it, because we don’t want to cause our brother or sister to stumble. Or share misinformation to others we must know Gods word for ourselves. Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against You. That’s why it is so important to be accurate in our interpretation of the word of God. We must honor Gods word and honor each other with truth.

2 commentsThanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree we must know the word of God and be good stewards of that word. We definitely should want people to grow and learn and not be a stumbling block for them.

Kristy HammondTawanna, I appreciate your spirit of honoring God's Word in challenging ech of us to be good stewards /gate keepers over His-The Infallible Word God. As called servants of God as you said, we do not want to cause people to stumble or fall by sharing misinformation. The Holy Spirit always brings this scripture to mind, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV). God bless you for sharing and challenging us in your response!
