Hearing, communicating, and being led by the Spirit of God takes some work on our part. Our hearts need to be open to receive messages from the Holy Spirit. It takes us studying and meditating on the Word of God. We also need to be sitting under the teaching of those anointed by the Spirit. We have to be keen to the voice of God or we could possibly mishear. John 10:27 says, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. We must know the voice of God. We can only know His voice by knowing Him, studying His word, praying, and meditating

Kristy, your response reveals just how in tune you are with God's voice and the importance of being devoted to Him! To keep the communication flowing from the throne of God to you! I loved the word you used, keen, to be so familiar with the presence of God that there is no doubt it is Him that speaks! You have challenged me to raise the level of being keen to the voice of God! Kristy yes that is a good word and encouraging with instructions from Holy Spirit. John 16:13 However He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears he will speak; and He will tell you things to come. Work, yes so true hearing and communicating does require us to be intentional that’s why we walk by faith and not by sight 2 Corinthians 5:7. And being under anointed teaching is bonus.
