The motivational gifts are vital in how we serve and impact the body of Christ. I believe the gift that is least utilized or understood is mercy. As a people operating within the world I believe we have lost our compassion for others (mercy). The gift of mercy is undervalued on the importance of bringing grace, restoration, and healing to others. According to our notes, this is the heart of the body. This gift involves compassion and understanding of the pain and struggles of others. Matthew 5:...

In my opinion, the gift of the Father that is least used or utilized is the gift of mercy. Many people are not tuned into the needs and feelings of others. The bible says in 2 Timothy 3:2 that in the last days, men will become lovers of themselves. People in these days and times are not as mindful of others as they were back in ages past. Oftentimes, even prayers are selfish. We as a people think more about our families, finance, employment, heath, and forget about the state of others. The bible...

The gift that I believe is the least important would-be exhortation, this means to encourage or urging someone to do something or challenge someone to live a righteous life. This can also be used to encourage spiritual growth. in Hebrews 3:13 it states Christians should exhort each other to live a righteous life. This may be a problem for some people who are shy, or someone who thinks they still learning and may not know enough to exhort someone else. But that's where we should draw our strength...

I believe the gift of prophesy is not used as much in the church, that has been my experience. In 1 Corinthians 14:1 it says to pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. By the spirit we can all prophesy so it is strange to me that it is either not acknowledged or utilized is many churches. We must believe that we can and also make room for people God wants to use in the prophetic. In 1 Corinthians 14:31 it also says for you can all prophesy one by one, th...

I believe it to be the Gift of Prophecy is least utilized because it may be mis-understood and not excepted by some because lack of knowledge or fear of such a gift. The bible does share about false prophets Matthew 7:15-16 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit.

In the book of Romans 12:6-8, there are seven gifts mentioned, sometimes called motivational gifts in which each of us, according to grace, has been given from God. Each of us has different gifts. We are encouraged to use the gift or gifts we have been given, yet some are reluctant to do so, for whatever reason. We should be using our gifts for the common good, 1 Corinthians 12:7, and 1 Peter 4:10 and honoring God. No one person (believer) has all gifts and that is why we need each other, to bu...
